Memorial account established for student

An 18-year-old freshman student died Tuesday, Jan. 31, in a head-on collision on Highway 89.

T.J. Adams of Layton was initially pronounced dead at the scene of the accident but was revived in the intensive care unit of McKay-Dee Hospital and placed on life support. He died shortly after.

“He’s just an amazing person, he would do anything for anyone,” said Justin Green, a longtime friend of Adams. “He could make you smile on the worst day.”

Green said Adams loved to play lacrosse and hang out with friends.

“I just remember sitting on the roof of his neighbor’s shed, and we’d sit there and just talk about life and everything, and I just remember he’d always be there for me and he was always standing by my side for 14 years,” Green said.

A memorial account has been established in Adams’ behalf at America First Credit Union. The account number is 9050782 and will be open until Feb. 11.

Adams was buried Saturday.
