ARBOR DAY TREE PLANTING AT WSU

To celebrate Arbor Day at Weber State University, the landscape office is inviting students and faculty to participate in a tree planting session on Wednesdayat 1 p.m. The event is being put on as part of the WSU Tree Campus USA program, and for this year’s annual Arbor Day celebration, participants will be planting oak trees not common in our area. Students interested in participating should meet at the south end of the W8 parking lot (by the Kimball Visual Arts Center), and should bring work boots and gloves. Shovels will be provided. In addition to beautifying campus and helping the environment, the event will teach some facts about oak trees, demonstrate good tree-planting techniques and discuss upcoming events for the Tree Campus USA program. WOMEN IN THE MILITARY PANEL DISCUSSION

The Center for Diversity and Unity at WSU will host a panel discussion on women and their changing roles in the U.S. military. The discussion will take place on Wednesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. and will address the Department of Defense’s decision to integrate women into more combat roles. The discussion will take place at the Center for Diversity and Unity, Room 232 in the Shepherd Union Building, and all are invited to attend. TEST-TAKING WORKSHOP AT WSU DAVIS

Davis Student Services will offer the chance to help students do their best by way of a test-taking workshop. The workshop will teach tips for maximizing performance on tests as well as relaxation techniques to help keep cool under the stress that comes with testing. The workshop will take place on April 3 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Room 103 of the Davis campus. Contact Davis Student Services at 801-395-3443 for more information.
