Hey there, Wildcats! My name is Alexis Marquez, your Davis campus and satellite campuses vice president. I’m a California girl from the Bay Area. Some of my passions are hiking, art, concerts and football. No one gets in the way of me and my Green Bay Packers! I am a junior that is currently majoring in communications, public relations and advertising. Being a WSU student, from my first day as a freshman to now, has been an unforgettable experience. I love being a Wildcat because there is no other experience that compares.
One of my first student involvement opportunities with WSUSA was at the Davis campus, where it was love at first sight. This is my second year as your Davis VP, and I expect to go out with a bang! Some of the things I am working on for this coming year are events that aren’t specific to traditional or nontraditional students, and are fun for all to participate in. With our new building out at the Davis campus, I am looking forward to assist in the expansion of the Student Involvement and Leadership Office to suit the needs of you, the students. Another goal of mine is to also plant more WSU roots in the Davis County area. With the support and diligence of my outstanding Davis campus programming board, we plan to have an outstanding year. And we can’t wait to meet you, whether it’s in a club, our new SIL office in D3, a WSU sporting event, or at one of our many fun and exciting events this year. Hope to see you soon, Wildcats!
