From men-only gender equality conferences, to Darth Vader’s campaign for Ukraine Parliament, here are this week’s five crazy headlines.
An 18-year-old Kyrgyzstan girl recently had a massive hairball surgically removed from her stomach.
She was admitted to the hospital after complaining of severe stomach pains. Apparently she had been in the habit of eating hair from her carpet and chewing on her own hair.
X-rays revealed the hairball, and doctors immediately began surgery. Afterwards, they told her she needed to kick the hair-eating habit.

Sixteen men registered as “Darth Vader” are running for election in the Ukraine Parliament.
Other candidates are running under similar aliases, including other “Star Wars” characters Chewbacca and Yoda.
Candidates fully embrace their personas on billboards and ads, and even dress in full costume when campaigning.
Apparently the move comes in light of a fight against government corruption, showcasing how easy it is to change someone’s name under the current system.
Ukraine’s petitions to join the Galactic Empire, however, have still been denied.
