Homecoming week is the time to flaunt your school pride, but it doesn’t have to be the only week your school spirit shines bright! Here are a few ways to roar like a true Wildcat and bleed purple all semester long.

1. Start hashtagging

Use Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or whatever your favorite social media platform is, to stay updated. Get started with #weberstate, #weareweber and #weberchallenge. Share the positive aspects of our school. In addition to staying in the loop with campus events, hashtags are an easy way to enter contests or giveaways!

2. Learn the fight song

Know the Weber State University fight song before you go to a game so you can sing along! Better yet, change your ringtone to the fight song so you can feel pumped every time someone calls you.

Here are the lyrics so you can start practicing now: “We are the wildcats, scratching, snarling we’re gonna win this game. Upward and onward fighting wildcats, with pride and honor, on to fame. And we’ll never quit till we have won, so purple and white will reign, cause we will growl, and snarl, and show how we rate; For we are…Weber State, Weber State, Great! Great! Great!”

3. Get purple all over

Sporting your Weber wear may be the simplest way to show school pride. Everything from school supplies to t-shirts can show everyone you’re a Wildcat wherever you go. Plus, who doesn’t look good in purple?

4. Decorate with decals

Paint the town in Weber State University decals. Stick them on your car, your window, your notebooks and anywhere else. Let everyone know where you go to school!

5. Get active on campus

Perhaps the most important way to connect with your school is to get involved. Look into service projects, event planning or clubs and organizations. It’s rewarding to have a sense of belonging on campus, and it’s easy to get started! If you’re not sure where to begin, check out Student Involvement and Leadership.

Follow these tips to keep your Weber pride shining all semester.  Stand proud Wildcats!
