A six-inch water line broke this morning at the north end of the A6 parking lot at Weber State University, causing water to be shut off in several buildings on campus.

An announcement on the Weber State University Facebook page said that while the water line is being repaired, water will be shut off to the Stewart Library, the Engineering and Technology Building, the east side of the Shepherd Union Building and the north section of the Marriott Health Sciences Building.

According to Doug Hall, plumbing lead for WSU Facilities Management, the water line is expected to be repaired by early this afternoon.

The post stated that classes will not be affected by the line break or the water shut-offs, but students and faculty are being asked to use restrooms in other buildings or in areas of the Shepherd Union Building and Marriott Health Sciences Building not affected by the shut off.
