Fox 13 ranked Ogden number two on their ‘Best City for Cheapskates’ list. “The list was compiled based on the abundance of low-cost activities, such as public libraries and museums, the amount of free things to do, including concerts and lectures, and the amount [of] thrifty shopping options within the city,” McKoye Mecham, Fox 13 reporter, said.

The savings are even greater for Weber State University students, who are eligible for discounts on college-life staple ingredients, food and fun.

Within walking distance from campus, there are several eateries that keep students in mind. Frozen yogurt treats can be enjoyed at Cherry Berry, located a block south from the main campus. On Wildcat Wednesdays, students receive 20 percent off.

“I love Cherry Berry. It’s perfect for anyone looking for a sweet treat, without making you feel like you just went up three pant sizes. The flavors are always diverse, and the price isn’t terrible either. It’s my go-to dessert place year round,” Hallie Van Patten, WSU communication major, said.
