College Radio Day happened Oct. 2nd. KWCR teamed up with Grounds for Coffee in Ogden to bring attention to some local talent in this open mic event. This year, KWCR is collaborating with local venues in order to build a community for local music and radio in Ogden. With KWCR’s move to online, they have been trying to find ways to get the word out about their new medium. Not only did they have the open mic night on Friday, but they also held a concert at Alleged for those 21 and older. KWCR had three local artists come and play at the venue. This will not be the last event of it’s kind. Follow up on KWCR’s website to stay tuned in to what’s going on with Weber State University’s radio station.
