Jay Hill | Football
The 2016-17 season will be head coach Jay Hill’s third year with the Wildcats. Hill is the 11th head coach in WSU football history.
In the 2015-16 season, Hill led the team to a 6-5 overall record and 5-3 in conference play. This was WSU’s first winning season in the last five years. The season included Weber State’s first win over Montana in Missoula since 1987.
Tim Crompton | Soccer
Tim Crompton became the head coach for the Weber State soccer team in 2004.
Crompton coached his team to a 10-9-1 overall record in the 2015-16 season, including six conference wins that earned the team a spot in the Big Sky Conference tournament.
In the 2013-14 season, Crompton led his team to the Big Sky Championship title, earning a spot in the NCAA Women’s College Cup against BYU in Provo, Utah.
Jeremiah Larsen | Volleyball
Jeremiah Larsen became the head coach of the Weber State volleyball program in January 2015. Larsen has spent his previous years on the staff at Utah State.
Under his coaching, the Aggies finished twice in the top 10 in the nation in blocks.
Larsen will return as head coach for the 2016-17 season after leading the Wildcats to a 6-22 overall record in the 2015-16 season.
Dan Walker | Track and Field
Dan Walker became the Wildcat track and field coach in 2006 after being the assistant coach for 22 years.
In 2010, Walker was named Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year after leading his team to the 2010 Big Sky Conference Outdoor Championship.
Walker is an Ogden native and still holds the record at Ben Lomond High School in the mile run.
Randy Rahe | Men’s Basketball
Last year, Rahe completed his 10th season at Weber State and is now Weber State’s all-time winningest coach with a record of 208-113. Rahe also became the leader of the Big Sky Conference in career conference wins with 129.
In the past ten years at Weber, Rahe coached his team to five Big Sky Conference titles and eight post-season tournament appearances, which includes three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Brad Ferreira | Tennis
The 2016-17 season will be Brad Ferreira’s fifth year as the Weber State Director of Tennis.
Ferreira was named Big Sky Coach of the Year in 2016 after leading the men’s tennis team to the regular season Big Sky Conference title, its first Big Sky Conference Championship title, and a trip to the NCAA Regional match in Los, Angeles, California.
Ferreira also led the men’s tennis team in an undefeated season in 2014, and the teams second Big Sky regular season championship in 2015.
Bethann Ord | Women’s Basketball
Bethann Ord will coach her sixth year with the Wildcats in the 2016-17 season.
In the 2015-16 season, Ord coached her team to a 23-12 overall record, and 12-7 in conference play, earning a spot in the Big Sky Conference post-season tournament.
After falling short to Idaho in the quarterfinal round, Ord and her team were invited to participate in the Women’s Basketball Invitation, where the team won three games to advance to the championship in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Paul Pilkington | Cross Country
Paul Pilkington became the head coach of the the Weber State cross country program in 2006 and is the associate head coach for the track and field team.
Pilkington led the women’s cross country team to the Big Sky Conference Championship title, fifth place in the NCAA Mountain Regional and 22nd place in the NCAA Championship meet in the 2015-16 season.
He led the men to third place in the Big Sky Conference tournament and 10th place in the Mountain Regional.
Scott Erling | Men’s Golf
Scott Erling came to Weber State University in 2012 after being a well know member of the local golf community for many years. Erling was the Head Golf Professional at the Ogden Golf and Country Club from 1998-2007.
Erling coached his team to fifth place in 2015-16 Big Sky Conference Championship tournament, and to fourth place in the 2014-15 season.
Sara Federico | Women’s Golf
Federico played four years as a Wildcat from 2010-13. She had six top-20 finished during her career, with four of them being top-10.
Federico has been the assistant coach for the past two years at Weber State and will take on her first season as the head golf coach for the 2016-17 season.
Mary Kay Amicone | Softball
Mary Kay Amicone will return for her fourth season with the Weber State Softball program after coaching the Wildcats to back-to-back Big Sky Conference Championship titles and NCAA Regional appearances.
In her past three seasons at Weber State, Amicone is 97-63 overall, 32-21 in conference play and 6-4 in post-season play.
Amicone recorded her 600th collegiate career win on April 16, 2016.
