5 fall fashion ideas

The alarm goes off obnoxiously and you realize you are running late for class. Pulling on sweats and a hoodie you run out the door, throwing fashion out the window.

In light of the change in weather and the need for warmer clothing, The Signpost researched fall fashion ideas. Check out these five trending fall fashions to spice up your wardrobe this season.

Don’t forget to set out your outfit the night before so you don’t have to think about it when you’ve slept a bit too long.

Layers

Teen Vogue’s website shows a layered outfit, including jean shorts, a tank top, ball cap and button-up shirt.

This outfit is great for early fall when it is fairly warm in the daytime but becomes chilly in the evening. The button-up top is not too heavy but just enough to keep you warm during these fall evenings.

Leggings

Leggings are my personal favorite fall staple. They are comfortable and you can throw a dress or long shirt over them for an easy, on-the-go outfit.

In high school I wore leggings so much that my mother worried I would be known as “Legging Girl.”

You can dress leggings up or down. Cold day? No problem! Throw a pair of boots with your leggings and you are instantly warm and fashionable.

Patterns and prints

Seventeen Magazine suggests prints and patterns can be a fun way to liven up your look.

There are all sorts of prints available. One of my favorites is floral. I love to wear a floral print shirt with a chunky necklace that brings out a color in one of the flowers on the shirt.

Dress it up

To me, throwing on a dress is one of the easiest ways to get out the door quickly and still look fashionable.

My favorite part of this approach is that I don’t have to try to find both pants and a shirt. Dresses are a lot easier yet I still look like I tried.

Dresses look great with a cardigan and a pair of stylish boots to warm things up. These two clothing must-haves make your outfit comfy and warm for those brisk fall days.

Scarves

Scarves are an easy way to spice up an outfit, adding a little something extra. Not only do scarves look cute, they also add warmth to the outfit.

Often by the third or fourth week of school we become stressed and begin to care less about how we look and what we wear. There are always easy ways to look nice even with the lack of time to get ready.
