Hot Rock'n 4th festival to feature car show, demolition derby and fireworks

For those still undecided on how to spend Independence Day this year, the Hot Rock’n 4th festival at the Ogden Pioneer Stadium may be an option.

With family-friendly entertainment, activities for children of all ages, a demolition derby and the traditional fireworks, Hot Rock’n 4th has established itself as the largest Fourth of July celebration in northern Utah.

The festival kicks off on July 3 with family events and food vendors before the demolition derby begins at 6 p.m. The festival will feature even more events on July 4, including bounce houses and trampolines, a car show, another demolition derby and live performances. This all leads up to the big fireworks show beginning at 10 p.m.

The gates to the stadium located at 700 Canyon Rd. in the northern part of Ogden open at 1 p.m. and stay open until 11 p.m.. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $13 or for $16 at the door. Children under 12 receive discounts.

Places to purchase discounted tickets include the Burger King at 2110 Wall Avenue and the Daily Rise location at 2865 Washington Boulevard, both in Ogden.
